I know many of you have been waiting for my first post, and here it is. I asked Doctor News to post it because I hope you understand I'm not quite ready to engage in a lot of public back and forth on the web.
Words cannot express how grateful I am to everyone for getting me through the bad times, and helping me in the good times. I would not be where I am today without all my supporters.
I am especially aware of the important role this website played in the fight to free me. It was a rallying point for my supporters from Long Island to around the world.
I'm fighting to regain my life and doing everything in my power to gain a semblance of normalcy. I'm also working on finishing my college degree as quickly as possible and moving on to law school. I'm shooting for the moon, and hopefully I'll at least land on a star. I have a lot of work ahead, but I'm up for the challenge.
As you know, while I am free, the fight for justice is far from over. My family, friends, attorneys, investigators, advocates, supporters and many others know that the murderers walk the streets and the people responsible haven't answered for their crimes. We will continue to fight to expose the problems in the system and to seek justice.
I know many want to hear from me on a regular basis, and I'd love to correspond with everyone. However, I'm taking six college classes, studying for my LSAT's, working on getting into a great law school, trying to start up a new innocence project, and so much more. So please bear with me if you don't hear from me right away. I'll try to keep you updated on my progress from time to time in this forum.
I look forward to your continued support, faith and love as I strive to make life better for myself, and take steps to ensure that no one else suffers the way I did.
All my best,
Marty
